The privacy and view are unbeatable. Step out onto your private, roofed deck and stare out at the glittering sun, the lush greens and blues of a Kachemak Bay summer. Grill fresh-caught halibut in your private natural-gas BBQ, or stroll out to the secluded, fully-prepped fire circle to enjoy a campfire beneath the stars.
With a fully-stocked kitchen with stainless steel appliances, private outdoor Arctic Spa (hot tub) and secluded fire pit, washer/dryer and all new amenities, we’ve thought of everything you need for a couple or small family seeking a comfortable rental with an incredible, unobstructed view of Kachemak Bay and the Kenai Mountains.
Canyon Cottage is the only property on Bouman’s Bluff we didn’t build ourselves. We purchased the home as part of our recent Baycrest Lodge expansion, and extensively remodeled it before renting, to bring it up to our standards of pure modern comfort and attention to detail.
Have a sense of humor when you’re staying at Canyon Cottage. Why does this light switch control that light? Why is the ceiling like this over the stairs? Why is the downstairs bedroom so small? While the quirks have us chuckling, Canyon Cottage’s unparalleled views and relative seclusion, along with all of Baycrest Lodge's standard modern comforts, make it a more than worthy addition to the Baycrest Lodge family.

Canyon Cottage has a 2 night minimum in the summer and can be booked for 1 night in the off season. There is no daily maid service. We ask that guests DO NOT wash our linens. Contact us the day before and we can supply you with new linens and/or towels.

In Canyon Cottage we provide: Bedding/linens, blankets, towels, shampoo, conditioner, body soap, lotion, hand soap, kleenex, toilet paper, hair dryer, bathroom spray, Qtips, dishes, wine glasses, cookware, utensils, kitchen towels, sponge, dish soap, spices, cooking spray, paper towels, coffee, coffee filters, creamers, sugar, tea, hot chocolate, tin foil, laundry detergent and trash bags.
