Working hard at Baycrest Lodge

For us, the Boumans, creating a successful business means putting our heart and soul into everything we do. Baycrest Lodge is just that. Luckily we love to work hard and strive to create a well thought out, quality "product" for our guests. We are always finding ways to improve and continually adding little touches to our property to make each guests experience an incredible one! Baycrest Lodge is our life and our livelyhood and we work together as a family to make it successful.

We were able to take a quick trip to Missouri last week for a family reunion but prior to leaving we were able to accomplish some much needed work around the property. We've only been back 3 days and have continued to take advantage of our beautiful weather to get more outdoor work done. We've restocked the Lupine fire pit, weeded, planted flowers and trees and filled in our driveway and pathways with new gravel and compacted it. Next up is staining the siding on the office and Alder, planting more trees and finishing off the driveway.

We look forward to seeing you soon and hope you'll enjoy the hard work we've put into Baycrest Lodge!

Spring in Homer, Alaska

Although Baycrest Lodge is open year round and we love the winter, spring time gets us excited for the summer season. There's a ton of work to be done once the snow melts......picking up trash on our property and along the road, getting rocks out of the yard that got shoveled into the yard with the snow, raking leaves, restocking fire pits, and much much more. Luckily, I have 2 great helpers (my 21 month old & 4 year old)! They worked so hard over the last few days that they earned many breaks on the swings at the Lupine House swing set! One fire pit down, one to go......

I'm excited to stay that I now see green grass coming up! Check back for more updates on Baycrest Lodge and the Bouman's. It's going to be a great summer!
